Summer is almost here, but to receive the glorious gift known as summer, I need to endure two more weeks of school. It seems like all my friends that go to private/boarding school are just laughing in my face at the moment. I feel like just giving up...I have so much work to do in so little time. I've procrastinated so much that just thinking about the tasks that lie ahead makes me sick.
For History I need to write a 12 page "What if?" Paper; basically, I need to pick a moment/event in American History and describe how life would be if that moment/event never occurred.
THE PAPER IS DUE ON THURSDAY! I have yet to start
OR pick a topic! Any suggestions, plz?!
In other news last night was my friend Beth's birthday. We all got together and headed into Boston to some "hip" restaurant called
Dick's Last Resort, I think that's what it's called. Neither was it hip nor appetizing. The food was 99ish but worse and three times the price. The semblance was very "American Pub" and the waiters gave us these funky hats which was kind of cool. After the meal our group(composed of about 11 kids) dispersed and my friend Liz, who was at Berklee School of Music came to join. Here's where the problems started...everyone ran off shopping/watching street performers and essentially everyone split up. I was with a group and all of a sudden we're going back on the subway headed home. Now I'm questioning, "Why are we leaving if everyone isn't with us?" but I didn't bring it up(assuming the others got home?). I guess our departure caused mass confusion and they all spent an hour looking for us. Meanwhile we were back home sans the birthday girl!
We got wicked bored that night and picked up this other girl, Rosie, and decided to go 'off-roading'. Mind you, we're in a
Volkswagen Golf. We drive around town going over, I don't know what you call 'em, grassy islands? We then progressed onto a softball field and later a BMX track. None of this was my idea...so, while at the BMX track we find ourselves(inadvertently) at a drunken woods party! Overall, fun night. But the drama from earlier in the day will make things complicated.
